Exhibit Policy

NIERA EXHIBIT POLICY STATEMENT
One of NIERA's goals is to provide effective educational exhibits that are mutually beneficial to educators as well as to vendors. To achieve this goal, NIERA has developed the following policy:


CRITERIA FOR NIERA APPROVED EXHIBITS

  1. Exhibit Area Accessibility
    Exhibit area must be easily accessible, i.e. no stairs or walkups that would make cart or dolly access difficult.

  2. Table Size
    All tables must be a minimum of 8 feet by 30 inches to ensure proper book rack and equipment placement. (Exceptions must be pre-approved by NIERA)

  3. Planned Exhibit Time
    The program schedule should include uninterrupted morning and afternoon exhibit viewing times, each equivalent in length to a regular workshop session. This exhibit time is in addition to registration, lunch and refreshment breaks.

  4. Attendance
    Guaranteed attendance for all exhibits costing $50 or more per table must be a minimum of 400 educators.

  5. Educational Exhibits
    Exhibits will be educational in nature. (There should not be any fund-raisers, travel agents, T-shirt, clothing or jewelry vendors, etc.)

  6. Exhibitor’s Set-Up
    Exhibitors should be allowed to set up their exhibits at least two hours prior to registration or the night before, whenever possible.


GUIDELINES FOR NIERA APPROVED EXHIBIT ASSISTANCE

  1. Mailing labels of all members of our organization will be provided to exhibit coordinators at no charge, when an exhibit is approved by NIERA. (When requested, we will mail, at our expense, exhibit information to all NIERA members.)

  2. NIERA will provide help in designing the layout and floor plan of the exhibit area. (NIERA's experience has proven especially helpful for new exhibit coordinators.)

  3. NIERA will assist, when requested, in booth/table assignments.

  4. An "Exhibit Response Form", designed to avoid problems associated with exhibits, is available upon request.

All NIERA Members will be encouraged to attend NIERA Approved Exhibits and will be advised of those exhibits that are not NIERA Approved.

Note: NIERA membership mailing labels will be supplied at no charge to all educational organizations meeting the above listed criteria. In all other cases, there will be a $50 cost for the labels.
